The Bakehouse Cafe

The Bakehouse Cafe backs onto the Chip shop and provides meals and snacks throughout the day. The cafe has been established for around 30 years was completely refurbished when it was taken over by Ian and Christine in 1999. Their idea to open the area and provide a modern, clean and comfortable look works very well, and with the friendly staff offering a warm welcome will ensure a happy customer.

The menu offers a wide choice of foods, from hot meals including a selection of all day breakfasts, baked potatoes, toasted sandwiches - through to homemade baking and desserts. Once know locally as the pancake place offering a selection of hot pancakes, this speciality has been kept on the menu and is a must ,a popular choice by pupils at the local high school.

The full chips shop menu is also available if you would prefer to sit in on those colder days and have the comfort and convenience of a plate with knife and fork.
